The Rwandan government has been working hard to promote tree planting in schools across the country.

Project Summary

This is part of a larger effort to combat deforestation and help the environment. Trees provide many benefits, including helping to regulate the climate, providing homes for wildlife, and producing oxygen. They also help to prevent soil erosion and can provide shade and windbreaks. Roots&Shoots planted 100 trees on the International world forest day, 2021in parternship with the primary school “les Rhossignols”. The planted trees include 50 fruit trees,which will provide to students’ fruits while benefiting from eco services of trees and help students to learn about the importance of trees and how to care for them. This supports to create a new generation of Rwandans who are committed to protecting their environment.
